Potto

The Potto (Perodicticus potto) is a strepsirrhine primate from the Lorisidae family. It is the only species in genus Perodicticus. The name "Potto" possibly comes from the African word "pata", which means tailless ape. The Potto is also known as Bosman's Potto, after its supposed discoverer, and in some English-speaking parts of Africa it is called a Softly-softly.

Angwantibo

The angwantibos are the two species of strepsirrhine primates that are classified in the Arctocebus genus of the Lorisidae family. They are also known as golden pottos because of their yellow or golden coloration. Angwantibos live in tropical Africa and their range includes Nigeria, Cameroon north of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Angwantibos grow to a size of 22 to 30 cm, and have almost no tail at all. They only weigh up to 0.5 kg. Their fur is yellow brown to golden in color.

Golden Angwantibo

The Golden Angwantibo (Arctocebus aureus) is a strepsirrhine primate from the family Lorisidae. It shares the Arctocebus genus with the Calabar Angwantibo (Arctocebus calabarensis) and together they are commonly called the golden pottos. The Golden Angwantibo is found in Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. Its usual habitat is rain forest, but it has also been known to live on farmland.

Calabar Angwantibo

The Calabar Angwantibo (Arctocebus calabarensis), also known as the Calabar Potto, is a strepsirrhine primate from the Lorisidae family. It shares the genus Arctocebus with the Golden Angwantibo (Arctocebus aureus). It is closely related to the Potto (Perodicticus potto) and to the various lorises. The Calabar Angwantibo lives in the rain forests of west Africa, particularly in tree-fall zones. In areas where the forest has been cleared, it has been known to live on farmland.

False Potto

The False Potto (Pseudopotto martini) is a strepsirrhine primate from the Lorisidae family, very similar in anatomy and appearance to the Potto (Perodicticus potto). The classification of the False Potto into its own genus (Pseudopotto) and species was proposed in 1996 by Jeffrey Schwartz of the American Museum of Natural History.
