Sunand Tryambak Joshi is an Indian American literary critic, and a leading figure in the study of Howard Phillips Lovecraft
and other authors of weird and fantastic fiction. Besides having written what critics such as Harold Bloom and Joyce Carol
Oates consider to be the definitive biography of Lovecraft, Joshi has written about Ambrose Bierce, H. L. Mencken, Lord Dunsany,
Algernon Blackwood and M.R. James, and has edited collections of their works. He currently resides in Seattle, WA.
