Amrish Puri

Amrish Lal Puri was an iconic Indian actor who appeared primarily in negative roles in Hindi movies. His most remembered roles are Mogambo in Mr India (1987) and Mola Ram in the Hollywood film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). He played character roles and was well-known as a villain. His striking bass voice, the ability to extend his eyes widely out of their eyelids during climactic scenes and outsize acting style made him a convincing villain in even the most melodramatic movies.

Malkit Singh (born Boparai) MBE born in 1972 in village Hussainpur, Jalandhar, and raised in Nakodar, Jalandhar, Punjab. He is a famous foreign based Punjabi bhangra singer. Most famous for the songs "Gur Nalo Ishq Mita", "Tootak Tootak Tootiyan", "Kurri Garam Jayee", as well as recently, "Chal Hun," and "Jind Mahi" from the blockbuster Bend It Like Beckham film soundtrack. Anupam Sud

Anupam Sud 1944 is an artist who lives and works in Mandi, a small community on the outskirts of New Delhi. She was born in the Punjab, though she spent much of her youth in the former British summer capital of Simla in Himachal Pradesh.
