Florian Mayer

Florian Mayer (born 5 October 1983) is a professional male tennis player from Germany. He plays on both the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour. He has won five Challenger events which has helped him stay in the Top 50 on the rankings. Mayer reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 33 on 27 September 2004. Mayer has reached two ATP singles finals in his career, both at Sopot. He lost to Gaël Monfils in 2005 of France and Nikolay Davydenko of Russia in 2006.

At the 2006 French Open, Capdeville had a shoving incident with Mario Ančić, at the end of his second round match. The two players had to be separated by the chair umpire. Ančić and Capdeville were each fined US$3,000 for the incident.
