María José Martínez Sánchez is a professional tennis player from Spain. She has had some success in singles, reaching a career high of No. 36 in September 2009 and winning two titles: the 2009 Copa Sony Ericsson Colsanitas and the 2009 Swedish Open. She was also a runner-up at the 2008 Barcelona KIA. As a junior she won the 1999 Orange Bowl, a year-ending tennis event for junior players.
