Peter Mattias "Foppa" Forsberg (born July 20, 1973) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre, currently playing for Modo
Hockey in Elitserien. Forsberg is widely considered to be among the greatest two-way players of all time, known for his prolific
offensive skills as well as his tenacious defensive play. His 19-year professional career includes 13 years in the National
Hockey League (NHL), where he won two Stanley Cups and numerous individual honors.
Nicklas Erik Lidström (born April 28, 1970) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who has played his entire National
Hockey League (NHL) career with the Detroit Red Wings, and is currently their team captain. In his seventeen NHL seasons,
Lidström has won four Stanley Cup's, various NHL trophies and has been voted into ten NHL All-Star Games. To date, he is the
only European-born and trained NHL captain to win the Stanley Cup.
Mats Johan Sundin (born February 13, 1971) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is currently a free agent. Sundin
has last played for the Vancouver Canucks in the 2008–09 season. He has played most of his career up to this point with the
Toronto Maple Leafs where, at the end of the 2007–08 NHL season, he had been the second-longest active serving captain in
the NHL, behind Joe Sakic of the Colorado Avalanche, and the longest serving non-North American born captain in NHL history.
Markus Näslund (born July 30, 1973) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey
League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers, as well as the Elitserien for Modo Hockey.
He was nicknamed "Nazzy" by Canucks fans and is referred to as "Macke" or "Mackan" in his native Sweden.
Henrik Lundqvist (born March 2, 1982) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for the New York Rangers of the National
Hockey League (NHL). He had been nominated for the Vezina Trophy in his first three seasons in the NHL, finishing third all
three times. His dominating play during his rookie season resulted in the New York media and Rangers fans giving him the nickname
"King Henrik".
Charles Richard Gough (born 5 April 1962, in Stockholm, Sweden) is a former Scottish football central defender who enjoyed
great success as captain of Rangers. He also played for Scotland 61 times and had a brief spell as manager of Livingston.
