Oscar De La Hoya (born February 4, 1973) — nicknamed "The Golden Boy" — is a retired American boxer of Mexican descent. He won a gold medal at the Barcelona Olympic Games. De La Hoya comes from a boxing family. His grandfather Vicente, father Joel Sr. , and brother Joel Jr. were all boxers. De La Hoya was Ring Magazine's "Fighter of the Year" in 1995 and Ring Magazine's top-rated Pound for Pound fighter in the world in 1997.

Antonio Cervantes

Antonio Cervantes aka Kid Pambelé is a Colombian boxing trainer and former two time world Jr. Welterweight champion. Cervantes, who is Afro-Colombian, was born in Palenque, also known as the first site of a slave rebellion in Latin America. Cervantes used to sell contraband cigarettes and shine shoes as a child to survive. He met boxing trainer Carmelo Prada, who helped shape his style. He is the former WBA World Middleweight Champion, and has also previously held the WBC World Light-Middleweight Championship, giving him recognition as one of the few currently active fighters to have held highly-regarded World Championships in two different weight classes.
