Jan Janssen

Johannes Adrianus Janssen, known as Jan Janssen (born 19 May 1940, Nootdorp) is a Dutch former professional cyclist (1962-1973). He was world champion and winner of the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. He was the first Dutch rider to win the Tour de France. Janssen was born at Nootdorp, a small town near Rotterdam and Delft. He later moved to Putte, a village on the Belgian border between Roosendaal and Antwerp. He rode the Tour de France eight times and finished all but the first time.

 
 
Franco Bitossi

Franco Bitossi

Franco Bitossi is an Italian former professional cyclist. He was born in Camaioni di Carmignano. He started as professional in 1961, winning a total of 171 races until 1978. In 1965 he won the Tour de Suisse and the Züri-Metzgete (which he won again in 1968). In 1967 he won Tirreno-Adriatico, Giro di Lombardia and Coppa Agostoni, while the following year he became the first (and sole) Italian to win the maillot vert (points) final classification. Barry Hoban

Barry Hoban is a former English professional cyclist who rode during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was the previous holder of the record for the most stage wins in the Tour de France by a British rider, winning eight between 1967 to 1975. He holds the record for the most Tours completed by a British rider – having finished 11 of the 12 he started between 1965 and 1978.

 
 
Gösta Pettersson

Gösta Pettersson

Gösta Pettersson is a Swedish former professional road racing cyclist and three-time Olympic medalist. The highlight of his career was his overall win in the 1971 Giro d'Italia. He was also third in the 1970 Tour de France which was in his first year as a professional, at age 30. In 1967, The Fåglum brothers were awarded the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal. The brothers won the World Amateur Cycling Championships between 1967-1969 along with a silver medal in the 1968 Summer Olympics.

 
 
Roger Pingeon

Roger Pingeon

Roger Pingeon is a retired professional road bicycle racer from France. He raced as a professional from 1964 to 1974. In 1967, Pingeon won the Tour de France. In 1969, Pingeon won the Vuelta a España and came second behind Eddy Merckx in the Tour de France.
