Tom Boonen

Tom Boonen (born on October 15, 1980 in Mol) is a Belgian professional road bicycle racer who won the 2005 World Road Race Champion. He is a member of the Quick Step team, and is considered a single-day road race specialist with a strong finishing sprint. His personality and looks, combined with his successes, also turned him into Belgium's main male sports idol of the mid-2000s, but he has incurred censure after three times testing positive for the use of cocaine.

Alejandro Valverde Belmonte is a Spanish road racing cyclist for UCI ProTeam Caisse d'Epargne. Valverde's biggest wins have been the 2009 Vuelta a España, the Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 2006, 2008 and 2006 UCI ProTour series championship. He has twice collected the silver medal in the UCI Road World Championships, in 2003 and 2005. Valverde is rare in combining different specialities in road bicycle racing, being a strong climber, time trialist and sprinter.

Fränk Schleck is a Luxembourgish professional road bicycle racer riding for Team Saxo Bank. At the start of 2005, Schleck was joined by his younger brother Andy on Team CSC, as Saxo Bank was then known, and they split the 2005 national championships between them, with Fränk winning the road race and Andy winning the time trial. Their father, Johny Schleck, was also a professional road bicycle racer between 1965 and 1974.

Born in Ipswich, Queensland, Davis resides in Bundaberg, Queensland and in Spain. Known for his sprinting ability, he started competitive cycling at the age of 10, and turned professional in 2002. He is also the brother of fellow cyclist, Scott Davis.
