Mark Cavendish is a Manx and British racing cyclist who rides for UCI ProTeam Team Columbia – HTC. Originally a track cyclist
in the madison, points race, and scratch race, he has also competed on the road since 2006. He is a double Madison World Champion
and Commonwealth Games gold medallist on the track. As a road cyclist, he has risen to prominence as a sprinter. He achieved
eleven wins in his first professional season, equalling the record held by Alessandro Petacchi.
Andy Schleck is a Luxembourgish professional road bicycle racer who, since 2005, has been riding for Team Saxo Bank in the
UCI ProTour series. He is the younger brother of Fränk Schleck, also at Team Saxo Bank. Their father Johny Schleck rode the
Tour de France and Vuelta a España between 1965 and 1974.
Lars Boom is a professional cyclo-cross and road racing cyclist who was born in Vlijmen in the Netherlands. Boom rides for
UCI ProTeam Rabobank cycling team, having previous ridden for the junior and continental teams. Boom is the current World
Champion in this discpline. He has also been the Dutch national cyclo-cross champion in his discipline since 2001 - being
the Dutch Junior Cyclo-Cross champion from 2002 to 2003, Under 23 National Champion from 2004 to 2006.
Mikhail Borisovich Ignatiev is a Russian professional track and road bicycle racer. He currently rides for UCI ProTeam Katusha,
as well as participating in various track events.
José Joaquín Rojas Gil is a Spanish professional road bicycle racer, currently riding for UCI ProTeam Caisse d'Epargne. He
turned professional in 2006 with the Liberty Seguros-Würth team
Edward (Ed) Clancy MBE (born 12 March 1985, Barnsley) is an English professional track and road bicycle racer who rides for
the Halford-Bikehut team.. On the track his specialist discipline is Pursuit. He won the first stage of the 2005 Tour of Berlin.
He also won 2007 Team Pursuit World Championship. At the 2008 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester he was again
part of the Gold medal winning Team Pursuit squad.
