Paolo Bettini is a former Italian champion road racing cyclist. Considered the best classics specialists of his generation,
and probably one of the strongest of all times, he won gold medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics road race and in the 2006 and
2007 World Road Race Championships. He is nicknamed Il Grillo ("the cricket") for his repeated sudden attacks and his sprinting
style. He gained prominence by winning Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 2000 and 2002.
Damiano Cunego is an Italian professional road racing cyclist who rides for the Italian UCI ProTeam Lampre–NGC. His biggest
wins are the 2004 Giro d'Italia, the 2008 Amstel Gold Race, and the Giro di Lombardia in 2004, 2007, 2008. He finished second
in the UCI Road World Championships in 2008 and in the 2008 UCI ProTour. Primarily a climber, he has improved his Time-Trialing
and he is characterized by a great sprinting ability, unusual for a climber.
Joaquim Rodríguez Oliver is a Spanish professional road racing cyclist since 2001, currently riding for UCI ProTeam Caisse
d'Epargne. He signed with Team Katusha for the 2010 season.
Kerrie Meares (born 4 September 1982 in Blackwater) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She is the older sister
of Anna Meares. Kerrie was a contender for the 2004 Olympic team, representing Australia. However, she pulled out from competition
due to nagging injuries, suffered during numerous crashes that occurred during competitions earlier that year.
