Denis Nikolayevich Menchov is a professional Russian road bicycle racer. Menchov is considered a General Classification rider and a climber. In 2007 he won the Vuelta a España for the second time, and in 2009 he took the overall win at the centenary Giro d'Italia.

Christian Vande Velde

Christian Vande Velde is an American professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for Garmin-Slipstream. The son of United States Bicycling Hall of Fame inductee John Vande Velde, Christian became professional in 1998 for US Postal. He twice rode on the Tour de France team that brought Lance Armstrong to victory, in 1999 and 2001. In the 1999 Tour de France Vande Velde was for a time the leader of the youth classification; he did not complete the 2001 Tour de France.

Laurent Brochard is a retired professional road racing cyclist from France. In 1997 he won a stage of the Tour de France and became World Road Racing Champion in San Sebastián, Spain. Brochard was a competitive runner and only started cycling competitively at age 19. He started his career with team Castorama and eventually became part of the Festina cycling team.

Paolo Savoldelli

Paolo Savoldelli is an Italian former road racing cyclist and winner of the 2002 and 2005 Giro d'Italia. Savoldelli is a climber but known for his fast downhill riding. He is nicknamed Il Falco ("the falcon"). His downhill skills won him the 2005 Giro. His descent of the last mountain of the penultimate stage closed a gap to Gilberto Simoni, preserving his lead and giving him the win.
