Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is an airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is located 17 km from Makassar city and operated by PT. Angkasa Pura I. The new terminal was opened on 20 August 2008. This airport is the main gateway for flights to the eastern part of Indonesia. The old terminal is used by the TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force) which houses Skadron Udara 11 (Air Squadron 11). The Squadron is equipped with Su-27SK, Su-30MK/Su-30MK2, A-4E/A-4H, TA-4H/TA-4J.

National Monument (Indonesia)

The Monumen Nasional (or Tugu Monas, the National Monument tower) is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's independence. Construction began in 1961 under Sukarno and was not finished until 1975 under Suharto. It is topped by a 14.5 ton bronze flame, which is plated in 35 kg of gold. The entrance to the monument is located at the north part of Medan Merdeka Park, near the Prince Diponegoro statue.
