The United Nations Headquarters is a distinctive complex in New York City that has served as the official headquarters of the United Nations since its completion in 1950. It is located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood, on the east side of Midtown Manhattan, on spacious grounds overlooking the East River. Metropolitan Miami is a complex of four skyscrapers in the central business district of downtown Miami, Florida. These are Met 1, Met 2 Office Tower, Met 2 Marriott Marquis and Met 3. Met 1 was finished in 2007, and Met 2 and Met 3 are currently under construction for completion in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Met 3, when completed, will be the 2nd-tallest building in Miami at 828 ft (252 m), behind the 903-foot (275 m) Brickell Financial Centre Phase II, which is scheduled to open in 2011.

The Milwaukee City Hall is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. It was finished in 1895, at which time it was the tallest building in the United States. The city hall's bell tower,at 353 feet (108 m), also made it the third tallest structure in the nation, behind the Washington Monument and the then-incomplete Philadelphia City Hall. The Hall was Milwaukee's tallest building until completion of the US Bank Center in 1973.

Standing at 319 metres (1,047 ft), it was the world's tallest building for 11 months before it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931.
