Saagara Sangamam

Saagara Sangamam (The Confluence) (1983) is a Telugu film directed by K. Viswanath. It was also dubbed into Tamil as Salangai Oli. The movie follows the life of a failed but gifted (though eccentric) Indian classical dancer. It is the first of three feature-film collaborations between K. Viswanath and the actor Kamal Haasan, the others being Swathi Muthyam, India's entry to the Oscar in 1986, and Subha Sankalpam (1995).

Swathi Muthyam (1985) is a Telugu film directed by K. Viswanath. The movie won accolades at the Asian Film Festival in both "Best Movie" and "Best Actor" categories. The movie is about an autistic person who happens to defy existing social customs and traditions for a good cause. The movie was chosen to be India's official entry to the Oscars for 1986.

Pushpaka Vimana, or just Pushpak for subsequent films in other languages, is a black comedy Kannada movie released in 1988, directed by Telugu/Kannada director Srinivasa Rao Singeetham. Though the movie was made in Kannada, it was also released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam as well. Set in a large unnamed Indian city, the film is based on the king-for-a-day story. Unnaipol Oruvan

Unnaipol Oruvan is a bilingual Indian film directed by Chakri Toleti, starring Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal in the lead role. Earlier titled as Thalaivan Irukiran in Tamil, the film will be made in Tamil and Telugu (as Eenadu) . Venkatesh plays the same role as Mohanlal in the Telugu version. The film, a remake of the 2008 Bollywood film, A Wednesday!, directed by Neeraj Pandey, began its filming in March 2009 and released on September 18, 2009.

This movie brings back the golden combination of Kamala Haasan and Vishwanath after 9 long years and Kamal has excelled yet again. Vishwanath appears on screen for the first time and his performance was awesome. The relationship which is established between Kamal and Vishwanth makes the movie what it is.
