Joe Cribbs

Joe Stanier Cribbs is a retired National Football League and United States Football League football running back. He played collegiately at Auburn University along with future NFL backs William Andrews and James Brooks. He began his professional career in 1980 with the Buffalo Bills. After being drafted in the second round of the 1980 NFL Draft, Cribbs went on to start all 16 games of his rookie year with Buffalo, finishing with 1185 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Neil O'Donoghue

Cornelis Joseph Dennis "Neil" O'Donoghue is a former American football placekicker in the National Football League. He is the only Irish-born player in NFL history. Growing up in Clondalkin sporting achievement was in his genes as his father Michael played international hockey for Ireland. Con had short spells with Drumcondra F.C. and Shamrock Rovers F.C.. Neil first came to the United States to play soccer for Saint Bernard College.

Bill Atkins

William Ellis Atkins was an American football defensive back and punter from Auburn University who played for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League, and in the American Football League for the Buffalo Bills, the New York Titans and Jets, and the Denver Broncos. Chuck Hurston

Charles Frederick Hurston is a former professional American football defensive end who played seven professional seasons from 1964-1971. He was draffted by the American Football League's Kansas City Chiefs in 1965. After winning the American Football League Championship with the Chiefs in 1966, he started for them in the first AFL-NFL World Championship Game. He was also with the 1969 Chiefs who won Super Bowl IV.

Byron Franklin

Byron Paul Franklin is a former professional American football wide receiver in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at Auburn University. A native of Sheffield, Alabama, Franklin starred in football at Auburn from 1976-1980 and received a B.S. in vocational and distributive education in 1991. His professional football career lasted from 1981 to 1987. He served as assistant director of athletic development at AU from 1991-93.
