Wayne Douglas Gretzky, CC (born January 26, 1961) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently the
part-owner, head of hockey operations, and head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born and
raised in Brantford, Ontario, Gretzky honed his skills at a backyard rink and regularly played minor hockey at a level far
above his peers.
Mark John Douglas Messier (born January 18, 1961) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey centre of the National Hockey
League and current special assistant to the president and general manager of the New York Rangers. He spent a quarter of a
century in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and Vancouver Canucks. He also played professionally with the
World Hockey Association (WHA)'s Indianapolis Racers and Cincinnati Stingers.
Philip Anthony "Espo" Esposito, OC (born February 20, 1942) is a retired professional hockey centre who played 18 seasons
in the National Hockey League for the Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers. He is an Honoured Member of
the Hockey Hall of Fame and is considered to be one of the best to have ever played in the National Hockey League.
Joseph Steven Sakic is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played his entire National Hockey League career
with the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche franchise. In his 20-year tenure, Sakic won the Stanley Cup twice, various NHL
trophies, and was voted into 13 NHL All-Star Games.
Sidney Patrick Crosby (born August 7, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins
of the National Hockey League (NHL). Crosby was drafted by the Penguins out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
first overall after earning back-to-back CHL Player of the Year Awards and leading his club to the 2005 Memorial Cup during
his two-year major junior career with the Rimouski Océanic. Nicknamed "The Next One",
Eric Bryan Lindros (born February 28, 1973) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was the first overall
pick in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He retired in November 2007, after playing the 2006–07 season with the Dallas Stars.
