Stéphane Maurice Dion, PC, MP (born September 28, 1955) is a Canadian politician who has been the Member of Parliament for the riding of Saint-Laurent–Cartierville in Montreal since 1996. He was the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and the Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition in the Canadian House of Commons from 2006 to 2008.

He is a former member of the Toronto City Council and acting deputy mayor of Toronto, Ontario. On June 28, 2004, he was elected Member of Parliament for the constituency of Toronto—Danforth. He is married to fellow MP Olivia Chow. The son of a Progressive Conservative cabinet minister, Layton was raised in Hudson, Quebec.

Captain (N) (ret'd) Joseph Jean-Pierre Marc Garneau, CC, CD, FCASI, MP is a Canadian astronaut, engineer and politician. Garneau was the first Canadian in space, and has taken part in three flights aboard NASA Space shuttles. He was the president of the Canadian Space Agency from 2001 to 2006, and in 2003 was installed as the ninth Chancellor of Carleton University in Ottawa. Nigel Bowen

Sir Nigel Hubert Bowen, AC, KBE was an Australian politician and judge. Bowen was born in a log cabin in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada of Welsh and English parents. He came to Australia as a boy and was educated for two years in England and later at The King's School, Parramatta. He studied law at St. Paul's College, Sydney and the University of Sydney and then practised as a solicitor. He was admitted as a barrister in New South Wales in 1936 and later in Victoria.
