Wayne Douglas Gretzky, CC (born January 26, 1961) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently the
part-owner, head of hockey operations, and head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born and
raised in Brantford, Ontario, Gretzky honed his skills at a backyard rink and regularly played minor hockey at a level far
above his peers.
Christopher Michael Benoit (May 21, 1967 – c. June 24, 2007) was a Canadian professional wrestler. He spent time working for
several major promotions, including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), New Japan
Pro Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He was often referred to
by the nicknames "The Crippler," "The Canadian Crippler," and "The Rabid Wolverine.
Bret Sergeant Hart (born July 2, 1957) is a retired Canadian professional wrestler, amateur wrestler, author, and actor, best
known for his time in World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling under the persona, "The Hitman". A son of
wrestling patriarch Stu Hart, he was born into the Hart wrestling family. His seven brothers were either wrestlers or involved
backstage with the wrestling business; his four sisters all married professional wrestlers.
Roderick George Toombs (born April 17, 1954), better known by his ring name "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, is a semi-retired Canadian
professional wrestler and film actor currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment. Despite having no actual connection
to Scotland, he was billed as coming from Glasgow, Scotland and was known for his signature kilt and bagpipe entrance music.
Gordon "Gordie" Howe, OC (born March 31, 1928) is a retired professional ice hockey player from Canada who played for the
Detroit Red Wings and Hartford Whalers of the National Hockey League (NHL), and the Houston Aeros and New England Whalers
in the World Hockey Association (WHA). Howe is often referred to as Mr. Hockey, and is generally regarded as one of the greatest
hockey players of all time.
Mary Pierce is a tennis professional playing on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tour. She is a citizen of France, Canada,
and the United States but plays for France in team competitions and the Olympics. Pierce has won four Grand Slam titles, two
in singles and two in doubles. She has reached six Grand Slam singles finals, most recently at the US Open and French Open
in 2005. Her Grand Slam singles titles came at the 2000 French Open and the 1995 Australian Open.
