Ryan Joseph Giggs (born Ryan Joseph Wilson on 29 November 1973) is a Welsh footballer who has played for Manchester United
for his entire professional career. He established himself as a left-winger during the 1990s and continued in this position
well into the 2000s, but he has been increasingly used in a deeper playmaking role in his later years. Giggs holds a host
of football records, including that of being the most decorated player in English football history.
William Henry "Billy" Meredith (30 July 1874 – 19 April 1958) was a Welsh footballer. He was considered one of the early superstars
of football due to his performances, notably for Manchester United and Manchester City. He won each domestic trophy in the
English football league and also gained 48 caps for Wales, for whom he scored 11 goals. 22 of these international appearances
were gained while playing for Manchester City, while 26 were gained while playing for Manchester United.
John Hartson (born 5 April 1975) is a former Wales international footballer who played as a striker, best known for his spells
with Arsenal and Celtic. Hartson also featured prominently for Wales, earning 51 caps until his international retirement in
2006. He retired from professional football after being released by West Bromwich Albion in January 2008.
Craig Douglas Bellamy (born 13 July 1979) is a Welsh footballer who plays for Manchester City and the Welsh national team
as a striker. He has previously played for a number of sides in England as well as a spell in Scotland since making his debut
for Norwich City in 1997. He is captain of the Welsh national side. During his career he has been well known for his exceptional
pace and skill which has seen him win the Scottish Cup and Community Shield.
Simon Philip Jones MBE is a Welsh cricketer, who played internationally for England. Formerly playing his county cricket for
Glamorgan County Cricket Club and then Worcestershire before moving in September 2009 to Hampshire, his father Jeff Jones,
played cricket for Glamorgan & England in the 1960s.
Robert Damien Bale Croft (born 25 May 1970 in Swansea) is a Welsh cricketer who has played international cricket for both
England and Wales. He is an off-spin bowler who plays for Glamorgan and captained the county from 2003 to 2006. He also commentates
occasionally for Sky Sports. He made his England debut against Pakistan in 1996 and did enough to earn a touring place to
Zimbabwe and New Zealand.
