Jonathan Peter Wilkinson OBE is an English rugby union player and member of the England national team. Wilkinson rose to acclaim from 2001 to 2003, before and during the 2003 Rugby World Cup and was acknowledged as one of the world’s best rugby players. He was an integral member of the 2003 Rugby World Cup winning England squad, scoring the winning drop goal in the last minute of extra time against Australia.

Brian Gerald O'Driscoll is an Irish professional rugby union player. He is the current captain of the Irish national team and captained Leinster Rugby until the start of 2008 season. He also captained the British and Irish Lions for their 2005 tour of New Zealand. In 2002, he was nominated for IRB World Player of the Year but lost out to Fabien Galthié. Registered at University College Dublin RFC, he plays at outside centre for the Irish provincial team Leinster.

Wayne James Bennett AM (born 1 January 1950) is an Australian rugby league football coach, and former player. He is the current head coach of the St. George Illawarra Dragons of the NRL. A former Australian Kangaroos player and Queensland Police officer, he became a Brisbane Rugby League premiership-winning coach in the 1970s and 80s, and earned selection as Queensland's State of Origin team coach.

He is generally regarded as the first true global superstar of rugby union. One of the sport's most intimidating players on the field, he has had a huge impact on the game. Andrew "Joey" Johns (born 19 May 1974 in Cessnock, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s and 2000s who is considered by some critics one of the greatest players of all time, and was heralded as the world's best halfback for a number of years. He captained the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League and participated in the team's first two premiership victories in 1997 and 2001, playing a club record 249 games for the Knights.

All three of these teams Lockyer has led to success in their respective competitions and he is thus widely considered one of the finest players in the modern game. He currently plays in the five-eighth position, having moved there from his previous position of fullback in 2004.
