Hidetoshi Nakata

Hidetoshi Nakata, (中田 英寿, Nakata Hidetoshi, born January 22, 1977 in Yamanashi Prefecture), is a Japanese former football player. He was one of the most famous Asian footballers of his generation. Nakata began his professional career in 1995 and won the Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year award in 1997 and 1998, the Scudetto with A.S. Roma in 2001, played for Japan in three FIFA World Cup tournaments and played in the Olympics twice.

Atsushi Yanagisawa

Atsushi Yanagisawa (born May 27, 1977) is a Japanese football player. Currently he is a striker for Kyoto Sanga F.C. in the top division of the J-League. Yanagisawa was born in Kosugi-machi, Toyama-ken, Japan. He formerly played for Sampdoria and Messina in Italian Serie A. He played in the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, 2000 Olympic football tournament, 2000 AFC Asian Cup, 2002 FIFA World Cup, 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Naoki Matsuda

Naoki Matsuda (松田 直樹 Matsuda Naoki; born March 14, 1977 in Kiryū, Gunma, Japan) is a Japanese football player who currently plays for Yokohama F Marinos, with whom he signed after high school in 1995. Matsuda has a reputation as a hardman on the field, an image bolstered when he shaved his head. However, it is said his young son was scared when he saw his dad's shaved head so Matsuda re-grew his hair. This hasn't stopped him being something of a firebrand on the pitch, though.

Kazuyuki Toda

Kazuyuki Kevin Toda is a Japanese football player who has recently played for J. League Division 2 side Thespa Kusatsu. He played in 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, 2000 Olympic football tournament and the 2002 FIFA World Cup for Japan. Prior to his move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in 2003 Toda had accepted a trial at another Premier League club, Sunderland AFC.
